Founding History

Wat Bhuddhawararam was founded on March 25, B.E. 2519 (1976) and was duly registered under United States law. It has served as a central hub for propagating Buddhism among the Thai community and those interested in Buddhism within the State of Colorado. The temple’s administration is overseen by a board of directors elected annually in accordance with its regulations. This board comprises five monastic representatives and five lay members.

Wat Bhuddhawararam is situated on a 0.5-acre site, with an estimated value of approximately USD 800,000. The property includes a multi-purpose building that houses the main prayer hall, monk accommodations, a library, and a Sunday school dedicated to Buddhist teachings.

Propagation of the Dharma

The temple regularly organizes Dhamma talks, sermons, and meditation as well as other practice sessions. In addition, it hosts special ceremonial events on important Buddhist occasions such as Visakha Bucha Day, Makha Bucha Day, Asalha Puja Day, and New Year’s Day.
